How long is the warranty period?

We offer a 6-month warranty on used engines, provided that the rules we specify are followed during installation. If the engine fails within this period, Orbi Motors will arrange for the engine to be collected from the customer and we will either carry out a warranty repair or replace it with another engine.

Have the engines for sale been checked?

Orbi Motors carries out a detailed inspection on every engine we sell, with qualified mechanics checking the condition of the cylinder leaks, the condition of the cylinder sleeves, and the condition of the main crankshafts and piston shafts.

About the AEB Engine – Specs & Technical Data

AEB is the code of a 1.8-litre I4 (inline-four) petrol engine from the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG). It was introduced in 1993 and was fitted into VW, SEAT and Audi cars, as well as some Skoda models. The AEB engine was a key piece of some of VAG’s car lineups being amongst the most sought-after variants for the Audi A4 and VW Passat as well as Audi A6. It produces 110 kW of power in stock configuration.

In terms of engineering, the AEB engine is a DOHC, has 5 valves per cylinder and is quite lightweight due to the fact it has an aluminum alloy block and cast-iron liners. The primary problems for these engines are turbo wear, leaks in the vacuum and oil buildup. Buying a used motor in good condition is often the most cost-effective solution for mechanical issues.
