Depending on the exact tune, the power output varies. But, for the Nissan 370Z, VQ37HR motor develops 253 kW of power and 366 Nm of torque. Peak power is reached around 7,000 RPM, and peak torque is at 5,200 RPM, so the driving experience can be called exhilarating.
From a tech standpoint, the VQ37HR motor features VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) and DOHC, 24 valves. As a naturally aspirated engine, the VQ37HR is super advanced, delivering exceptional performance. The most common issues include high oil consumption and excessive wear of timing chain guides.
